The Buzz is a four piece Connecticut based dance party band specializing in covers of upbeat pop, rock and funk favorites from the 80's through the 10's. The band hails from southeastern Connecticut and play in southern New England clubs, venues, and charity events.

The Buzz is the band you want when you want to have a good time! Although the band was assembled in 2007, these guys play like they've been together forever. Playing everything from the crazy funk of the 70's, to 80's 'hair metal' anthems, today's hottest new tunes and even some rockin' country for good measure!

The Buzz is a favorite for party seekers and bachelorette parties all over Connecticut and Rhode Island. Not just another cover band, they can whip their audience into a frenzy with their hard-driving dance grooves and fevered medeys.

 

 

Norwich native Darrell Langston, fronts the band with his chameleon-like vocal style. D-boy works the whole room with his high energy performance and really winds up the crowd. Whether he's passing out party-beads from the dance floor, or getting the crowd singing at the bar, as ringmaster he knows how to keep the party rolling!

Lead guitarist Jay Cavero from Niantic never misses a lick, even when he's bouncing off the walls or playing guitar behind his head. J.C.'s stage presence is a large part of the live show. Keep your eyes on him- he never sits still!

Holding it all together are bass player Shawn Jennerwein and North Stonington drummer Bob Watrous (2B) on his 'snare from hell'. Formerly of HARD KNOXX, Shawn is our newest member, joining in the summer of 2011.
